It's such an honor for Rural to receive Film of The Month at the Future of Film Awards.
For Blaire Sharman, the writer and star of Rural, it's so special for her to be able to capture the nuances and beauty of the place I grew up onscreen while still being able to examine the places in which it needs progression.
As the director, Rural is a film that means so much to me and I love that people are watching it and enjoying it. I was so happy that I could bring Blaire's hometown to the screen and honor the beautiful landscape that is the Shenandoah Valley.
