Briefly introduce yourself, including past projects and recognitions. excitement

My name is Shariful Taher. I'm a 24 year old filmmaker born and raised in New York City. My primary interest is in narrative filmmaking but I occasionally do music videos in between projects. I also recently worked as a camera operator on a Korean reality show titled "Fly To The Dance". A past recognition I've received is the "Best Director Short Film" award at the Paris International Film Festival.

What does it mean to you and the team to have your film be elected as best film of the month by our jury members.

It means a great deal to me. Recursion was a no-budget film in the truest sense. It was a project that was made with our own resources. We borrowed equipment and had people work for next to nothing. It was simply a group of people who were passionate about filmmaking. So to be recognized for something like this is a tremendous honor.
